Beachy Head, a white chalk headland in the south of England is only a stones throw away from London. Just out of the town of Eastbourne, it’s sea chalk cliffs at 531ft above sea level are the highest in the UK.
It attracts more than a multitude of tourists every year and on a sunny day is worth the picture.
sad note- Beachy Head is ( apart from the London Underground) the most popular location for suicides in the UK, with around 20 deaths a year. Worldwide the site is only surpassed by The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, USA and Aokigahara Woods in Japan.
