After leaving Albuquerque we headed out of Mexico and into America’s second biggest State. Texas, It contains America’s second largest population and is nicknamed the ‘Lone Star’ state. Signifying Texas as a former independent country after its separation from Mexico. Read more
After leaving Colorado behind we headed into New Mexico ( Breaking Bad Land) and after a long drive we arrived at the hotel in Albuquerque.We headed straight down to a buffet dinner ( bad bad bad for Kate) Dinner was followed by sober karaoke which was semi interrupted by a random fire alarm. After a couple of drinks it was time for bed. In preparation for a week of drinking to follow.

Only having one day to myself I thought instead of having a well earnt rest in my room after my Contiki tour of Central America ( post on that later ) I’d get up and explore on my own. So now with a big thank you to google maps I have found myself 6 stories high with a glass of sangria looking over the Catedral y Sagario Metropolitano. I must say the view is rather nice and I can’t complain about the hour walk it took to get here. Read more
